The theme for Catholic schools week 2024 was Communities of Service.

Throughout this week we had a number of events such as our daily prayer and ‘Thought for the day’ presented by each class group. Fr David Barrins OP took the time as he always does, to visit classes and had a chat with our pupils about Catholic schools week and what is means to follow Jesus’ in what we say and do. We also had the very special annual event of ‘Seinn 2024’ where our school band, led by Mr Wynne lifted the roof in the Redeemer church on Thursday. This was beautiful ceremony led by Arch-Bishop Eamonn Martin and comprised of many schools from around the area coming together to celebrate this special week.

Catholic Schools week will not finish until Sunday, this will be a very special day for our 2nd Class who will have their enrolement ceremony at 10am mass in the Friary Church. This will be another opportunity to hear our wonderful school band and choir perform. A huge thanks to Mr Wynne and Ms McCann for preparing these groups so well, and our 2nd Class teachers Mr Farrelly and Ms Mullen.
